For the first year, EVER, the city of Marietta is frosting the Square with holiday lights in a Winter Wonderland Marietta Square. Winter Wonderland Marietta Square will feature open-air ice skating, Santa's Workshop, multi-story Christmas tree and more. Starting November 20th, there will be an actual ice skating rink with twinkling lights and merry holiday music situated right in the center of Glover Park in Marietta Square. The open air ice skating rink will be open daily: Monday - Thursday 4:30pm to 10pm, Friday 4:30- 11pm, Saturday 10am to 11pm and Sundays Noon to 10pm. There will be extended hours during school breaks and open Thanksgiving and Christmas. $12 includes entrance and skate rental.

On December 3rd, Santa will be making his way from the North Pole to arrive at Glover Park for Winter Wonderland Marietta Square. Beginning at 5pm, local children's school choruses will take the Glover Park stage to enchant the crowd with holiday music. Santa arrives at 5:20pm and the fantastic tree lighting will follow at 6pm. Santa will be available until 8pm that evening, every Saturday and Sunday until December 20th and Monday, December 21 through Christmas Eve.

On New Year's Eve at the Winter Wonderland Marietta Square, the ball drops not once, but twice in grand style. The event will feature live music, ice sculpting, and family fun on and near the stage in Glover Park. There will be a really fun Children's Ball Drop at 7pm. This will be followed by a spectacular Midnight Square Drop in the heart of The Marietta Square. Most local vendors and restaurants will be open late to celebrate the event.
