Our yard provides us with a very peaceful lifestyle, especially given that we have such an amazing view of the 10th Fairway at Brookstone Country Club. Our yard, in which you cannot see either of the neighbors’ patios or decks, offers complete privacy and amazing afternoon shade. The deck and lower patio are large enough for entertaining, yet quiet enough when you need moments of solitude and peace. The yard is completely level and could easily accommodate a large pool, though the country club pool and tennis courts are only located a few houses down. The front yard is filled with beautiful Azaleas and Crepe Myrtles. The location of our home makes it the perfect place to walk onto the golf course and play holes 10-18!
The exterior of our home has amazing curb appeal, with an all-brick exterior and a 3-car garage than includes a side entry. The entire outside of the home was painted this year, including the garage doors. In July of 2016 (just a month ago) we had a brand new architectural shingle roof installed. The basement includes multiple doors that lead to the outside patio, and the full second office located in the basement has a door that opens to the backyard as well.
Several years ago we had upgraded the two hot water heaters. There are 2 HVAC units in the home, and one of them was replaced recently. In the kitchen, there is a gas cooktop; the dishwasher and garbage disposal are both relatively new!
We have a wonderful extra-large kitchen area with a breakfast nook and an abundance of natural light! We can easily sit 10 people for eating in the kitchen area and another 8 or more in the dining room. The gorgeous butler’s pantry connects the kitchen and dining room, and offers a great nook for storing additional cutlery, classes, china, etc.
The great room is full of natural light, thanks to the large windows, and we have a wonderful view of the Golf Course. Thanks to the fact that these large windows face North, we never have hot and direct sunlight streaming in. On cold nights, the real wood-burning fireplace warms the entire great room. The master suite, located on the main, is a true suite with the bath and sleeping area separated by a hallway that houses the his/hers walk-in closets.
You can access the upstairs level by either of two staircases that are in the home; we absolutely love having permanent rear stairs that are located by the breakfast area. The size of the four secondary bedrooms on the upper level is part of the reason we wanted the home in the first place! All of them are oversized and have their own private baths, as well as walk-in closets.
The huge guest room on the upper level could easily double as a second master if you wanted to sleep upstairs closer to the rest of your family. It is located down the hall from the other three secondary bedrooms and also has a private bath. The carpet upstairs is only a few years old and in great condition!
This basement is great for hanging out with your family and entertaining guests! It has its own full bath, plenty of daylight, and access to the lower patio from three different rooms. The second home office is located at the end of the home, and it’s not located under the kitchen or garage, which allows you to have a quiet place to work. The office has double French doors that lead out to the patio and large windows.
Our home is located just three doors down from the Brookstone Country Club entrance. However, the Brookstone Community Pool is just a few minutes away if you not decide to not be part of the Country Club. Both facilities have swimming pools and tennis courts; community events are a regularity at both places.
This location has great shopping options and restaurants in every direction without feeling like you are in the busy part of town. The layout of Brookstone was diligently planned, which means that we are surrounded by a lot of land and additional parks. Lake Allatoona is only minutes away and downtown Marietta, Kennesaw and Acworth are all very easy to get to! Several great churches are located close to our home and, of course, some of Cobb County's best schools are located within just minutes of us. Our home is only 15 minutes from interstate 75, which allows you to access multiple locations very quickly!
