My backyard is one of my pride and joys and one of the things I absolutely love about my townhouse! The sodded backyard is fenced in with beautiful landscaping. In the spring the flowers are simply gorgeous and aromatic; I have pink and white azaleas lining the interior of the fence. There is a shed located in the back corner of the property to house any lawn equipment. Unique Environmental Landscaping maintains the side yard and backyard by cutting the grass, edging the landscaping, and providing pine straw two times a year – this is all included in the HOA fees, which are very reasonable, especially considering all you get out of it! It costs $95 per quarter (every 3 months).

I also have butterfly bushes lining the side fence and they are gorgeous! When the professionals told me they would attract butterflies, I was a little skeptical. I couldn’t have been more wrong! There can be 10 to 20 butterflies fluttering around the bushes at any given time. The bushes grow to over six feet and have the most vibrant purple blooms. There are three hardwood trees that also encompass the backyard, and they help to provide the perfect private setting. You cannot see other people's property and they can't see mine.

To round out the landscaping, I have a huge hydrangea bush that is covered with blue blooms as bright as the sky. I enjoy sitting on my deck to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. I have three bird feeders in various spots in the back yard. Any given morning, it can look like a scene from the Disney movie Bambi, with all the varieties of birds, squirrels and chipmunks collecting together in the yard. I have Blue Jays, Yellow Finches, Robins, Cardinals, Orioles, Sparrows and of course our state bird, The Thrasher. In the evening, it is calming and peaceful to let go of your hectic day, enjoy the deck with a nice glass of wine, and soak in the absolutely amazing sunsets. They are truly breathtaking!


On the lowest floor, there is a foyer with hardwood flooring that leads to an extra room that has slate tile floor. This room is extremely versatile; it has a full bath with a pedestal sink, and it can be an extra den, man-cave, play room, an office, or a third bedroom! It is a huge space with so much potential. Where ever your imagination and needs take you, this spacious room will allow anyone to create the perfect setting to meet your needs.


The stairs lead you up to the main floor of this townhouse, which includes a dining area, kitchen, and family room. It is wonderful to have holidays, birthday celebrations, or just an average week night in this space. You can cook in the kitchen and your family or friends can join in conversation at the breakfast bar or have an appetizer at the dining room table while the meal is being prepared. There is a french door refrigerator with a freezer on the bottom for efficiency, and an oven that has the "convection" setting for those times when you have to whip up something in a hurry. There is also a built-in microwave and dishwasher that is so quiet that I have to double check myself that I turned it on! The living room on the main floor has three windows, and a gas fire place with a marble façade that is easy, hassle free and quick to light. It definitely keeps you nice and cozy on those cold winter nights!


The third floor houses the Master Bedroom with a  trey ceiling and a full bathroom that has a large tub and double vanity. The Master Bedroom can easily accommodate a king size bed, two night stands, vanity dresser with a mirror, and entertainment console with ease and room to spare! The master has two walk-in closets with shelving to keep even the most dedicated fashion diva organized. The third floor also has a spacious guest bedroom with an en-suite and walk-in closet. There's plenty of room for your family or friends to come visit!


Baker Heights is centrally located and just three miles from 75, four miles from 41/Cobb Parkway, and minutes away from three Publix Grocery Stores located within a 3 mile radius. There is a Kroger located two miles away and a wonderful pizza place called Big Pie. It was featured on the Travel Channel’s "Man vs. Food" hosted by Adam Richman. It is a must-eat place in Kennesaw. There are many other great restaurants in a five-mile radius worth checking out. La Bamba Mexican Restaurant and Grill offers outdoor seating, excellent margaritas and will definitely settle your cravings for delicious food south of the border. Also, there is Mazzy's Sports Bar and Grill located off of Wade Green Rd. It is the place to be for any sports loving person, especially during football season! The prices are some of the best around and the food is absolutely delicious! Another fun place is Guston's, which is also located off of Wade Green. They have live music on the weekends, weekly dinner and drink specials and bingo on Thursdays.


Kennesaw State is right around the corner; this University is growing and expanding, and there are always fun things to do! You can attend a football game in the fall, and Lacrosse, Soccer, and Baseball during other seasons. They also host a lot of camps and workshops for children of any age throughout the year. We are only four miles to downtown Kennesaw! The City of Kennesaw does a wonderful job engaging the local community with Festivals, Parades, Art Shows, and the annual Taste of Kennesaw, which allows you to sample all the delicious flavors of the local restaurants. There are many parks and green spaces in Kennesaw, and Kennesaw Mountain is very close by. Swift Cantrell Park is a wonderful place for you to exercise by using the walking trails.
