The wise and very stylish Carrie Bradshaw, star of Sex in the City,  once said "shopping is my cardio," and we agree! Especially when it comes to a day of shopping spent on the Historic Marietta Square because there are just so many stores to explore!

We asked the women of Marietta where their favorite boutiques were located, and consensus pointed right to the Marietta Square! Lucky for us, our office is located on The Square, so we did a little investigating! Connie and I hit the streets to find the best places for a little retail therapy and here is what we found!

Dakotas Boutique

When we walked in, we were immediately impressed! Dakotas has a style all its own! The racks were full of colorful and trendy pieces that would fit everyone's price range and style. Every item is hand picked by owner Laurie Snyder-Crowin and there really is something for everyone! Dakota thrives on word-of-mouth advertising, so be sure to talk up this adorable boutique!

Connie absolutely LOVES Option Designs! She says that it perfectly fits her lifestyle! As we browsed the racks, Connie made the comment that Options was great because there are professional and casual pieces for all ages.

DuPre's Antique Market

I could go on and on about DuPre's...I have spent many, many hours at DuPre's Antiques. You can really find anything you may be looking for at this massive antique mall! Dupre's is my go-to store for everything from Vintage Records to home decor and antique books. DuPre's is the best place to go on an antique and vintage treasure hunt!

The Local Exchange

The Local Exchange is the place to go for Marietta home-grown items! Find everything from adorably silly dish rags and baby onesies to Marietta's own Red Hare Beer. I have loved shopping at The Local Exchange since they opened and I was excited to show Connie around. As soon as we walked in, she paused and looked around to take it all in and said "oh...OH yes! I LOVE this!" The Local Exchange is one of those stores that you just want at least one of everything!

Satoria On The Square

Satoria is one of the most upscale stores on the Square. As soon as we stepped foot into Satoria, we noticed a va-va-voom kind of dress, the kind that you would see Angelina Jolie wearing on the red carpet! Connie looked the gorgeous, black evening gown up and down and decided she had to try it on! While she was in the fitting room, I got to chat with the owner, Tony Hoops. Tony shared with me the story behind Satoria, which actually began as a spa! He slowly started adding jewelry and handbags to his inventory until he started to be recognized as the "handbag man." Now, Tony hand selects each item he sells and he strives to provide items that can't be found anywhere else! Not only can you find unique pieces at Satoria, but you can also experience the Satoria Spa!
