Although we are on a corner lot, we love how our home sits back off the street on a beautiful well-maintained yard, great curb appeal that gently slopes with mature trees in both the front and back yard. There is a multiple zone sprinkler system in the front and back as well as plenty of space for outdoor recreation. For the past 17 years, we have loved hosting many family events on our two-story deck and watching our grandchildren play for hours in the back yard.

Exterior Features

Our home is three-sided brick featuring a cozy front stoop that highlights a quality wooden leaded glass door and the back has an oversize stained two-story deck. The exterior paint and rear siding perfectly complements the brick giving our home a warm and welcoming feel.

Our home has two low flow toilets, one in the powder room and the other in the master bath.

First Floor Features

As you enter our home through the front door, you are greeted by a two-story foyer and grand staircase featuring beautiful hardwood floors and wrought iron banisters. To the immediate left and right of the foyer you will see the formal dining and living rooms which offer tons of natural light and space for entertaining. The first floor also features a coat closet and powder room neatly tucked away so as not to distract from the beauty of the open concept kitchen and two-story family room. Three years ago the kitchen was upgraded with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. Our spacious kitchen also includes an island, peninsula serving bar, and wine storage. We have enjoyed many years of cooking and entertaining in this space. To complete the amenities of the first floor, you will find a pantry and separate laundry room just off the two-car garage entrance.

Second Floor Features

Moving up the stairs to the second floor, your eyes are drawn to all the natural light pouring in from the windows above the two-story family room. Our subdivision is diverse and peaceful. Our friends and neighbors on Bowerie Chase, Boone Hall and Stately Oaks would gather at least once a year in the cul-de-sac for social parties. We have enjoyed living here and attending events at the clubhouse as well has spending time at the pool, tennis and basketball courts and just taking walks.

My Area

This prestigious area has really blossomed over the 17 years we have lived here and we truly have enjoyed the area and especially our home. There has been at least one movie and commercial filmed in Oakleigh. China Fun, McDonald’s, Papa Johns, Subway and Wendy’s are just a quick drive up the street. We are minutes away from The Avenue at West Cobb that features a variety of restaurants and shops.

We live close to grocery, drug stores, a park, and a bowling alley. We are in the Kemp Elementary, Lovinggood Middle and Hillgrove High School district and while our daughter graduated before these schools were built, we have attended the sporting events in support of some of our neighbors’ children and can tell they really enjoy the schools and the community. This area is ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy all the benefits of southern living in a beautiful home. We hope you will be as happy here as we have been!
